We Began
My name is Mia, and I am the owner and founder of MIA MORITZ. I began building the foundation of this boutique in 2026. In my heart, however, it started long before that.
My interest in fashion started as far back as I can remember. I am the firstborn of three, and my mother was beyond excited to dress and style her first daughter. Unfortunately for her, I had other plans. At the ripe age of five, I was told that I refused to put on any outfit I didn't style myself. This was devastating to my mother, but it marked the beginning of what would become my greatest passion.
Early on, I became obsessed with drawing gowns inspired by princesses and films — an array of colors, patterns, and what kindergarten-aged me deemed elegant — hoping that one day I could peel my creations off the page and wear them myself. I challenged myself to reimagine what fashion could be by creating my own looks and pieces. It is something I still strive to do today.
I was raised with the freedom to express my interests and continuously reimagine my style, all while being supported with guidance and love. I give so much credit to my mother for encouraging my creativity and allowing me to grow into the woman I am today.
Family has played an important role in the creation of this boutique. The values, morals, and understanding of how I want to live in the eyes of the Lord have guided me through challenges and helped shape the business I am building. The support of my family and my faith has given me the courage to pursue this dream.
Being able to pay homage to both my mother and my grandfather for their role in my life was important to me. The name Moritz holds sentimental value. My grandfather was one of two sons in a family of ten. He was later blessed with two daughters, one being my mother, leaving no one to carry on the family name.
Faced with the prospect of the Moritz name fading, I wanted to find a way to honor my grandparents and continue their legacy. Their unwavering support remains integral to my life and is reflected in the name MIA MORITZ.
It gives this boutique a deeper meaning — anchoring it to the values of family, support, love, and loyalty.

I want to spread the love the Lord has given me throughout my community and through the way I build this business.
I have always dreamed of finding my place in the world of fashion and opening a store of my own. I am driven by the desire to encourage and support self-expression through clothing. Kindness, compassion, and love were foundational in starting this business, and MIA MORITZ will continue to grow with those principles at its heart.

Genesis 1:31At MIA MORITZ, I want to honor God’s creation by thoughtfully embracing natural fibers and resources to enhance the beauty He has already bestowed upon us. Natural fibers are a priority when curating collections. To the best of my ability, I strive to provide styles that complement your beauty and support your well-being.
I understand that the effects of exposure to plastic-based textiles on our bodies have not been widely studied. What we do know is that synthetic clothing can shed microplastic fibers into our environment through washing, wearing, and disposal. While people can be exposed to microplastics through many routes, research is still developing around the long-term effects of that exposure.
For me, choosing natural-fiber alternatives whenever possible feels most aligned with my values and helps reduce my reliance — and hopefully yours — on plastic-based textiles. Curating my collections with natural fibers also gives me greater peace of mind about the materials I am offering my customers.
I do not claim that every product I sell is completely free of synthetic materials. However, I aim to provide styles and products with as little synthetic content as possible. I prioritize natural fibers because they allow us to reduce our reliance on plastic-based textiles and the pollution associated with them.
I also focus on sourcing brands that value ethical production and sustainable practices whenever possible. When a natural-fiber alternative is available, it is my goal to choose it over a synthetic option. As the owner of this boutique, I want to provide my customers with products rooted in natural materials.
I know we cannot all be perfect in every choice we make. We weren't made to be. But for me, I believe God placed these plants and natural resources on this earth for a reason. I want to choose materials that come from nature and have the potential to return to it more readily than plastic-based synthetics.
Join me in clothing our bodies with natural fibers while keeping intention and well-being at the forefront. Here's to supporting slow fashion, shopping small, and choosing pieces made with greater attention to materials and craftsmanship. My goal is not perfection, but to encourage more intentional choices and one more small step toward environmental responsibility.

1 Corinthians 6:19I do my best to make choices that I believe are better for my body, for the land, and for our resources. Showing appreciation to the Creator who made me is something I strive to carry into the way I live and the way I build MIA MORITZ.
By choosing natural fibers, particularly biodegradable ones, whenever possible and prioritizing quality and longevity, I hope to offer pieces that feel thoughtful from beginning to end. While not every brand is perfectly transparent, I will continue seeking options that align as closely as possible with these values.

The brands and styles carried at MIA MORITZ are personally selected to embody a balance of timelessness, romance, individuality, and unexpected detail. I want to show you style beyond what is perceived as the “normal” or expected — while still leaving room for a little trend when it feels right.
Color, pattern, silhouette, texture, and fit can completely transform the way a piece feels each time you wear it. My ambition is to create a boutique that feels distinctive and personal — one that considers different lifestyles, personalities, and ways of expressing yourself.
Every piece offered at MIA MORITZ is personally handpicked by me from brands around the world with the goal of helping you create a wardrobe that feels more intentional, more interesting, and more like you.
There is more to fashion than simply wearing it.
It is a language of self-expression.
Clothing gives us the opportunity to explore different facets of who we are without saying a word. When you look good, you feel good — and I believe our wardrobes can help us celebrate the individuality we were created with.
I don't believe fashion needs a long list of rules. Style becomes more exciting when we give ourselves permission to experiment, wear the beautiful things we already own, and stop waiting for an “occasion” to dress the way we want.
